GURITA - MANILA ROPE is made from abaca fiber. ABACA FIBER is taken from the outer sheets of a number of banana families which are the hybrids of musa textiles as type tangongon, bungulanon, and manguindanao. Comparing with other bast fibers usually used for rope making, such as jute, sisal, kenaf, sunn, aramina, etc, abaca fiber has a high percentage of cellulose, longer in size, resilient and stronger in strength and higher resistant to humidity, fresh and salt water.
